Don spoke of his family often during lulls in trouble calls on the outpost. He was clearly blessed to have such a happy home life.

We were so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I (Phil) have many happy memories of Don from family get-togethers. We both remember with fondness the long overnight trip from Norfolk to Michigan for Christmas 1960, Don and Phil on leave from the Navy, with Janet Lee and our three month old (first-born) Scott confined to the back seat. Don was, and always will be, one of our favorite cousins.
