Obituary for Linda Jacobs

Linda N. Jacobs, age 61, of Marcellus, passed away on Friday February 12, 2016 at Three Rivers Health after an extended period of illness. Linda was the first of twin girls born November 16, 1954 in Three Rivers, Michigan to Wilbur and Dorothy Jacobs.

Linda is survived by an older brother, Gerald Jacobs of Scottville, Michigan, her twin, Luann Olsen, of Marcellus, a sister, Mary Harwood, of Dowagiac, a niece Rebecca Davis who resided with Linda until the time of her last illness, nephews Andrew Jacobs and Robert Olsen, of Scottville and Marcellus respectively, whom, together with Nicole Olsen, assisted during her last illness. Also surviving are a number of other nieces and nephews also residing in the local area.

Linda was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Richard Davis, and four sisters, Marguerite Cleland, Meredeth Bainbridge, Marie Sears, and Marian Blankenship.

Linda lived in southwestern Michigan during her entire lifetime, and was employed at Dowagiac Union Schools for a number of years as a custodian. For the last fifteen years, Linda lived in Marcellus. She was a member of Trinity Bible Church in Marcellus.

As she had requested prior to her death, cremation has taken place and the family will place the remains as she directed. Also, in accord with her request, no funeral service is to be held. At some future date there will be a gathering of family and friends at a place to be chosen later in Celebration of the Life of Linda Jacobs.

Anyone wishing to send a memorial in remembrance of Linda is requested to do so by contribution to the Marcellus Ambulance Service directly in Linda’s memory.
