Jennifer F. Liggett, born July 2, 1958 in Kalamazoo, MI passed away at Borgess Medical Center, with family surrounding her, on April 16, 2016.
Jenni, the daughter of the late Clinton and Lois Liggett, graduated from Portage Northern High School, Portage, Michigan and Hope College in Holland, Michigan. She was a member of Second Reformed Church in Kalamazoo and had served on the Consistory. Jenni worked for State Farm Insurance where she considered the team one of her many families of friends.
Jenni is survived by brother Timothy Liggett, sister-in-law Barbara Liggett, brother Christopher Liggett, sister-in-law Anne Liggett; her golden retriever companion Lucy and Lucy’s newly adopted mom and caretaker Amy Shoup; nephews Zachary (Misaeng) Liggett and Benjamin (Jessica) Liggett; grandnieces Maia Liggett and Gabriela Liggett and grandnephews Noah Liggett and Jacob Liggett; cousins; and many friends from Hope College, Second Reformed Church, PEO, Delphi sisters of Hope College, and in the Kalamazoo community.
Her wide circle of friends have noted her smile, warm heart, loyalty, and the ability to make you feel special in her presence. She was a sports enthusiast (Go HOPE!) and an encourager of many.
Jennifer has been cremated and a service celebrating her life will be at Second Reformed Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 7 PM. Families and friends may greet each other with remembrances of Jenni after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jenni’s memory may be made to Hope College, Holland Michigan (attention: Athletics Department), Second Reformed Church of Kalamazoo, Michigan or a nonprofit organization of choice.
