Condolence From: Karen Straka (Newhouse)
Condolence: I met Doug when we were both working at Chap's on Main. I really think I have never met a kinder person. Doug had this special combination of calm and control, wit and sweetness that is very rare. I have not seen Doug in years and years but my memories of him are deeply imprinted. I am so sorry for your loss. I know that over the years he must have touched the hearts of many. A tip of a Tiger's cap to my friend. Karen (Newhouse) Straka

Condolence: Doug was a good friend throughout our years at PCHS and it would be hard to recall a happy memory from those times that didn't have him in it. He was a man of good cheer and a wicked good sense of humor and will be missed by many. May God bless and keep his family and loved ones.

Condolence: Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers Becky. I am sure Doug was an awesome husband. Kathy, Dot and Greg: Sorry for the loss of your brother. I always felt a closeness to Doug being the closest in age to him. When you guys came to grandmas in Minnesota it was the hilight of our summer. Spending time at the pool or at the farm it was always great to have the Thomsens come to Mn. I will light luminaries in memory of you buddy at our next relay for life. RIP Doug....Love you.

Condolence: Doug and I graduated together from PCHS and I also knew his folks Bob and Gerry. Doug was a great friend and fun to be around. Although I lost track of many of my classmates after graduating, I'm sorry I lost track of Doug. I can very well see him as a bartender and truly enjoying it, along with giving joy to others. To his family, I am so very sorry, I know he will leave a big hole of happiness and light. My heartfelt sympathies.
