LaRochelle, Theodore (Ted) William passed away, December 7, 2016 with his family by his side. Ted was born October 28, 1937 at home in Flint, MI, the son of late John and Helen (Stasiak). A veteran, Ted proudly served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp, First Marine Airline. Ted retired after he devoted 35 years to Burger King and became a “Father Figure” to many. When his boys were younger, he was a Cub Master for the Cub Scouts, and when his boys were older they loved to play darts. Ted was even the President of their dart league. You could always find Ted in his favorite chair, cheering on the Lions, Tigers, working on crossword puzzles, reading or enjoying Star Trek shows. Ted is preceded in death by both his parents and his son, Brent Douglas. Ted is survived by his significant other of 20 years, Delores Linstead; Children: Greg (Linda) LaRochelle, Brad (Lana) LaRochelle, Kevin (Kelly) LaRochelle, Theresa LaRochelle, Tammy Kilgore and Bonnie LaForge; Brothers: Thomas (late Janet) LaRochelle of Columbus, OH and James (Carla) of Evanston, IL; several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. At Ted’s request, cremation has taken place and a memorial will be planned for a later date. Family requests all donations be made in his honor to Kairo’s Dwelling at 2945 Gull Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
