Condolence: My heart broke when I saw the notice. Dave was always the sweetest guy in high school! His hat-trick, our prom, fun visits to the South Haven 'cottage' - all such wonderful memories. I send my prayers to all of the Springgate family. May happy memories bring you comfort and may the promises of heaven bring you peace.

Condolence From: Karen Lane
Condolence: Bruce and I met Dave when we moved to Morgantown the summer of 2007. Our son Joe and his son Sterling played football together. We were new to town and it wasn't long before Dave opened his arms wide and made us feel like "family". We have great memories of our 4 years cheering on our Hawks together. I have read so many comment how Dave would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He was truly one of the most generous people I have ever met. In 2011, when Bruce was out of work, Dave introduced him to some colleagues at NANA Development Corporation in Alaska. Who knew that it would lead to over 5 years of work with various divisions at NANA. Dave and Bruce shared many great adventures up in Alaska and he will always be grateful to him for the opportunities given to him there. Dave will be greatly missed by the Lane family and we send our love and prayers to Madi, Sterling and all his extended and "adopted" family.

Condolence: I am extremely sorry for your loss. I met David through my very good and dear friend Helvi. What a guy. He was passionate and alway helpful. And loved hockey games!! He took us (me and all my friends) to the UAA hospitality room even though we were opposing fans!! He talked about his work and was always passionate. I am at a loss for words and so very surprised that this energetic, enthusiastic man is on the other side. For sure he's already bugging Kelly!!

Condolence: I met "Brewery Dave" this fall through my brother. He was kind, generous and friendly- always. He invited my 88 year old mother to dine at the Brewery with him every week. Although I knew him only briefly, it was easy to see what great a person he was. He will be missed here in Frankenmuth. My sincere sympathies to the Springgate family.
