I knew Ben from before he was born, I watched as he grew from an infant to adulthood. I was privileged to have been a teammate of his in the 1rst South Carolina -NSSA and was proud of him when he joined the Marines.
It is with great sadness that I learned of his passing on the same day as his memorial service.
