Condolence: Dear Roberta and family, Thank you for calling Denny to let him know of Russ' passing. He is having trouble with his memory but he remembers Russ. I know his was a friendship my dad cherished. He talked of him often. If I am not mistaken, and I could be because I was only 5 years old, I think Russ was camping one summer at the same park as my family. The older kids went off to swim and didn't want their little sister tagging along. They told me to go back to the camper. When I turned around with tear filled eyes, all the campers looked the same color and style. I couldn't find our campsite. Russ found me and drove me around in his car until I spotted mom outside washing dishes. He was my guardian angel that day! Thank you, Russ, for returning me safely to my family.
