NICKRENT, LINDA LEE
Age 69 of Paw Paw, died peacefully on March 16, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. She was born November 21, 1945 to the late August and Velma (Tunis) Schlieter in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Linda was the youngest of three daughters. She married Daniel Wayne Nickrent on December 18th 1963 and was happily married for 51 years (MTY-LTT). Linda retired from FEMA Corp. She had many interests including traveling and camping. Dan and Linda traveled full time in their RV for several years after retirement. She had many hobbies including painting, stain glass, wood burning and sewing. She loved change and was always interested in trying something new. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ethel, and brother in law Bob Wieand. Linda is survived by her husband Daniel, son Darrin (Christy) Nickrent of San Diego, daughter Laura (Eric) Flynn of Kalamazoo, and Sister Donna (Bob) Cochran of Kalamazoo; seven grandchildren, Madison, Megan, and Miku, of Kalamazoo, Austin, Allison, and Kristen Ally of San Diego, and Connor of Springfield, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In accordance with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday May 2, 2015 at the Almena United Methodist Church 27503 CR 375 Paw Paw. Friends can visit with the family from 11- 12 p.m., with a memorial service following at 12 p.m.
