A favorite Uncle

Although a person is taught early on, to not pick favorites (when it comes to family), my husband Keir and I had two very favorite and special Uncles. One was from my family, and the other from Keir's.

Uncle Walter, who is also enjoying his heavenly Home, was a brother of my father's who remarkably looked like my Dad, and by far was the most entertaining and kindest of all.

Uncle Max, my mother in law's brother, had the exact same attributes : an abundance of kindness, a great sense of humor, quite the story teller, and a heart of gold. I always looked forward to visiting with him and Aunt Marge and walked away with more wisdom and wonderful words of advice. He certainly knew how to make a person laugh and smile!

Now memories of him and our visits, continue to make me smile, although bittersweet, since I'll have to wait until heaven to visit with him once again. We loved Uncle Max, his family, and I am so very thankful that he was a part of my life.

His race is run, he wears his crown, and the victory is his.......through our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!!
