TRIPP, Mildred “Leona”
Climax

Passed away Nov. 18, 2016 at her home. Mildred “Leona” Forney was born Oct. 20, 1931 in Scotts. She was the daughter of Glenn Earl Forney and Mildred Maxine Simmonds Forney. She graduated from Climax High school in 1950. She married Robert A. Tripp in 1955. They had a daughter Marjorie Lynn Tripp. She is survived by her husband Robert and their daughter Marjorie Lynn Tripp-Almgren and son-in-law Per-Arne Almgren of Bandhagen, Sweden also a sister Ethel Town of Scotts, brother Gordon Forney of Hamilton Square, New Jersey, Bryant Forney of Scotts, Mi., and John Forney of Portage, Mi. also a sister Bethel (Forney) Lindsey who has passed away. Many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Also special friends Craig Smith and Thomas Nesbitt and his son Thomas Nesbitt Jr. She had worked at National Water Lift Co. for thirty-three and a half years. Most of those years were in the Payroll Department. She enjoyed family, gardening and flowers. She also has many friends who are members of the Eastern Star and Elmwood #88 Temple Pythian Sisters. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Hospice Care of South West Michigan.
A memorial service will be held on Friday Dec. 2, 2016 at 11:00am at the Climax Methodist Church with a luncheon to follow immediately afterward.
