Joanne Everhardus

I’ve known Mark for 24 years, and he is a dear friend. We often talked and exchanged ideas for hours about health and nutrition, life, the world, our Moms, everything. He was also my in case of emergency person. Always there with talking or help when in need. In the last few months, he had helped me for hours with advice.  I’m so glad that I told him several times in the last months how grateful I was for his friendship, and how much I appreciated him. He was kind and patient with me. I assumed he would always be here. I know that he had so many friends, and I am blessed that I could be one of them. The hardest part now is that I can’t call him to talk. I saved a voice message from him that he left me recently, after we’d gone to some art gallery openings and looked at some house-design books that were there. His voice sounded so excited, inspired, and full of joy. I will always remember him that way. I miss him so much.
