(Gordon) Green, Janet L 5/14/1954 - 3/4/2018 Kalamazoo, MI Janet L (Gordon) Green of Vicksburg passed away unexpectedly at Bronson Methodist Hospital on March 4, 2018 with her family at her side. Janet was born May 14, 1954 to Raymond and Minnie Gordon who preceded her in death. She was a 1972 graduate of Comstock High School. Janet was united in marriage to Steve Green in 1980 who survives. She retired from Stryker in 2015 after 41 years of service. Janet was a fun loving, caring, positive person that put everyone before herself and was always smiling. She loved her family most of all. Janet loved butterflies and rainbows along with going to the beach. She loved traveling with her family and had hoped to someday finish her goal of visiting the remaining 5 states that she had not visited. She is survived by her loving husband Steve Green of 38 years and sons Mark and Mitch, sister Tracy (Tim) Kingsley and children of Portage, Brothers in law John (Bonnie) Green and children of Hudsonville, Bob Green and children of Parchment, Sister in Laws Sue (Tom) Clark and children of Auburn Hills, and Penny Green and children of South Dakota, many Aunts and Uncles. She is preceded in death by parents Raymond and Minnie Gordon, In laws Fred and Mary Green, Brother Raymond Gordon Jr, brothers in law Bill Green, and Fred Green plus many close Aunts, Uncles and Nephews Cremation has taken place at Avink Funeral Home of Schoolcraft. Memorial services will be held at Green Meadow Bible Baptist Church officiated by Preacher Steven Zantjer which is located at 6914 E. ML Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49048 at 10:30 am on Saturday March 10, 2018. A celebration of life will follow at Main Street Pub of Vicksburg located ar 208 E. Prairie Street, Vicksburg, MI 49097 from 12-2 pm. A private burial will take place at a later date. Any flowers should be sent to Green Meadow Bible Baptist Church. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Michigan and/ or the American Cancer Society.
