Obituary for Curtis B. Robinson

Robinson, Curtis B. 1/16/1963 - 5/1/2018 Kalamazoo Curtis Blake Robinson, age 55, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday May 1, 2018. He was a life-long resident of Portage/Kalamazoo MI. He was the son of Lonnie and Patricia Robinson. Curt was a 1981 graduate of Portage Central High School. He enjoyed being outside in nature. In the past, he enjoyed wind-surfing on Austin Lake and spending time fishing and boating with family. He loved biking with his brother and friends on Portage and Kalamazoo trails.He was an avid guitar player and appreciated all kinds of music. He loved working in his garden and spending quiet time reading. Curt would give the shirt off of his back to help a friend or stranger in need. He was employed for the majority of his life as a commercial and house painter. For a brief time, he owned his own company, CBR Painting. He is preceded in death by his father Lonnie Robinson. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Robinson, his brother, Brad Robinson and sister, Darci Robinson (Bruce Crume), four step-siblings: Paul Bybee, Denise Vanalstine, Lori Maxon and Ernest Bybee. A private family gathering to celebrate his life will take place in the near future. Avink Funeral Home, Schoolcraft MI. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Ministry in Community in Curt's memory. Curt has touched many people's lives with his smile and his kindness to strangers. He will be missed.
